How volunteers came together to copy the acclaimed novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" word-for-word with ONE PENCIL. It began May 4, 2007 at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library and concluded on June 6.
The average pencil holds enough graphite to draw a line about 35 miles long or to write roughly 45,000 words. History does not record anyone testing this statistic.

I vote for black, since "kill" is in the title of the book and black is generally associated with death. And it looks cool. :)
